Water-Treatment Products Offer System for Trapping Crypto
Norwalk, Conn.–Arch Chemicals, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with SeaKlear Water Treatment Products of Bothell, Wash. to market their PRS product to the commercial swimming pool market. The co-branded Pulsar /SeaKlear PRS, 2-Stage Biopolymeric System will be available in five-gallon and 55-gallon kits. PRS traps disease-bearing microbes such as Cryptosporidium, E.Coli and Giardia in the swimming pool filter.
Totally biodegradable, PRS has been shown to trap 99.9 percent of Crypto on the filter, where it is then backwashed out of the pool system. Additional benefits of the PRS system include: enhanced filtration down to 0.5 microns, improved water clarity, effective flocculation of oils, elimination of the need for enzyme treatments and improved efficacy of UV systems. NACPRO Accepting Applications For 2009 Awards Program
Nominations will open on February 1, 2009 for the National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO) 2009 Awards. Presentation of the awards will be made at the NACO meeting to be held mid-July 2009 in Nashville, Tenn. The annual event recognizes and honors excellence in county Park and Recreation endeavors throughout the nation.
