Wednesday, May 25, is National Senior Health & Fitness Day.
Many local events are planned across the nation to promote health and wellness among older adults.
In Maryland, the Maryland-National Capital Parks & Planning Commission will treat seniors to a day of health screenings and fitness fun.
Free activities will include aquatic activities, chair aerobics, fitness walking, line dancing, chair massages and health screenings.
“Our health fair is a wonderful opportunity for seniors to make, renew, and revitalize their commitment to live healthier lives through better health and fitness,” said event chairperson Brenda Harris.
The fair will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex, 8001 Sheriff Rd., Landover, Md.
