Scouts Aid Tsunami Cleanup

But every little bit helps, as these Boy Scouts from Hawaii show.
A tidal surge from the tsunami damaged shorelines, destroyed homes and property, and deposited debris along beaches throughout the state.
At Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park, damage was minimal, but lots of debris was strewn along the park’s two miles of shoreline.
With help from Kona Boy Scout Troop 31, the debris — including a few logs and pieces from the wreck of a sailboat six years ago — was picked up and hauled away within a few hours.
Kudos to the Scouts for taking the time to serve their community!
