Vista, Calif. — The Memorial Day weekend marked the unofficial start of summer and also the Grand Opening of The Wave Waterpark’s newest attraction – 2,500 square feet and four-stories of Rippity Rainforest fun. The new modular, outdoor play structure (which the manufacturer believes is the largest ever installed in the U.S.) features its own themed entrance, an operating bubble and fog machine, integrated rope lighting, two spiral slides, a fiberglass wave slide and a steep drop slide for thrill seekers brave enough to climb to the top of the 25-foot structure.

The structure was built using Prime Play’s custom traditional play system and then themed with characters and scenes from the parks existing décor. The main mascot “Rippity” sits perched atop the highest point of the playground as a lookout that kids can crawl into and peer out of to the ground below.

“At The Wave Waterpark it is all about offering something for everyone and giving guests a chance to experience the thrills of slides and climbs in a dry environment,” said Nathan Jones, National Sales Manager of Prime Play. “We not only created the largest outdoor soft modular play system but also an interactive icon that will allow the City of Vista to attract guests to visit the park for years to come.”

The Wave Waterpark’s other outdoor attractions include: a competition pool, flow rider, enclosed tube slides and ‘Crazy River’ rides. More information can be found at www.thewavewaterpark.com.

Billed as four-stories of fun, the folks at the water park hope their new Rippity Rainforest will appeal to a new segment of users and bring them to the park during their slower summer season.
