Active Fitness Stations

LEWISBURG, Pa. — Playworld Systems has created LifeTrail, which is designed for outdoor use along existing walking paths, adding strengthening exercises — particularly for older Americans — to the normal walking routine. LifeTrail was designed to help people incorporate fitness into an easy daily routine by offering variety and convenience through ten Wellness Stations. The fact that these activities can be enjoyed with a companion is also important. People can walk the trail with friends or a partner and complete the activities at their own pace. The stations are available in two landscape-themed color combinations and panels can be customized to highlight interesting facts about a park or facility, display a map of the trail or include sponsor information. The activities within the ten different Wellness Stations offer two different levels of challenge and include upper and lower body warm-ups, forearm rolls, bench steps and standing push-ups, and many exercises simulate everyday activities. Five of the stations offer wheelchair-accessible options. For more information, call (800) 233-8404 or go to

Plastic Tree Grates

HOLLY, Mich. — Structural Plastics Corporation offers Poly-Grate II, a tree grate molded from 100-percent recycled, high-density, post-industrial plastic resins. The UV-resistant recycled plastic tree grates are durable in all climates, and are light enough for a single worker to install in a few minutes. Poly-Grate II uses tamper-resistant assembly bolts to join the two halves, making it resistant to theft or vandalism. Using a concentric-ring pattern, it accommodates years of tree growth. Expanding the tree opening can be performed on-site with little effort or expense. The removal of center ring sections can be performed in minutes with any standard saw blade. Playground Ride

FORT PAYNE, Ala. — GameTime introduces the GlideBoard, a rectangular platform attached to a grounded ramp bordered by two rails. The board glides back and forth along the two rails of the ramp. The ramp can be approached from either side, so kids can take turns from either the same or opposite ends of the board. Kids can use the board in many ways. Smaller players are often found sitting on the board, while they scoot along or are gently pushed along the route of travel by a friend. Older children can be seen taking a slight run at the board and jumping on, gliding to the end. For more information, call (800) 235-2440 or go to
