PlayCore, a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of play and recreation products, will hold a Professional Development Symposium in El Paso, Texas, on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
The event, presented by PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development, will include sessions that illustrate the importance of making play a priority in communities. Leading play scholars will share research on the benefits of play.
The event will also include sessions on the new ADA standards for accessible design and on moving beyond accessibility to focus on creating inclusive environments for people of all ages and abilities.
The symposium is designed for professionals in the fields of park and recreation, landscape architecture, and education. It will begin at 10 a.m. at El Paso’s Don Haskins Recreation Center.
The symposium is hosted by El Paso Parks and Recreation and sponsored by Triple M Recreation and GameTime.
Master trainers Jennie Sumrell and Tom Norquist from PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development will conduct the interactive sessions, which can be used to earn Continuing Education Units.
