National Trails Fund Grants

There’s still a little time left to apply for a National Trails Fund grant.

Does your hiking trail need a spruce up?

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. (EST) on December 15, 2011.

Established in 1998, the National Trails Fund provides money to help establish, protect and maintain hiking trails in America.

To date, the American Hiking Society has granted more than $500,000 to 165 different trail projects across the United States.

National Trails Fund awards are made possible by generous support from L.L.Bean, MSR and Therm-a-Rest, the program’s charter sponsors. Additional donations to the National Trails Fund come from the private business sector and individual donors.
