Campground Input Sought

The Vigo County (Ind.) Parks and Recreation Department is reevaluating its campground policies.

The parks have three RV/camper/tent campgrounds that are open six months a year.

Assistant Superintendent Kara Kish is asking other parks districts that have campgrounds to send her a copy of their campground policies.

She is specifically interested in how often they require their campers to rotate campsites or leave the campgrounds, if at all.

If campers are required to rotate or leave, what is the department’s rationale for this policy?
