The Indiana Parks and Recreation Association is hosting a pair of workshops for aquatics professionals.

“Aquatics: Compliance Confusion?” will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at the Plainfield Recreation and Aquatic Center, 651 Vestal Rd., Plainfield, Ind.

The free workshop will include information on Indiana’s Pool Code Update and ADA compliance.

Registration deadline is March 15. To register, call 317-984-4500 or visit the IPRA website, www.INPRA.org.

The National Swimming Pool Foundations CPO Certified Pool-Spa Operator Course will be offered April 14 and 15 in Greenfield, Ind.

The National Swimming Pool Foundation has rewritten the program and there is enough new material that everyone is to take this course as a new certification. If you are not up for renewal, you do not need to take the course at this time.

This course will help pool managers, apartment managers, spa operators, maintenance personnel and park directors understand and implement updated swimming pool and spa codes.

The course, which costs $225 for IPRA members ($265 for others), will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department Shelter House, 280 N. Apple Rd., Greenfield.

The fee includes textbook and certification exam.

Deadline to register is April 1. To sign up, call 317-984-4500 or visit the IRPA website, www.INPRA.org.
