Square Footage: 3,700 (new main bathroom and classroom structure with lifeguard facilities), 50-meter renovated pool: 12,610 square feet. New 75-foot recreation pool: 3,765 square feet. New 1,950-square-foot pool equipment building.

The renovation of an existing 50-meter pool, addition of a recreational pool, slide, and spray pad, and construction of a new main bathroom and classroom structure with lifeguard facilities all occurred within one year from start of working drawings to completion of construction. Facility highlights include a 50-meter by 2-meter minimum depth pool built with a 15-foot deep dive well; a 75-foot warm-up and recreation pool, and a 23-foot open flume slide and spray pad with shaded canopy. The facility received the Outstanding Facility Award by the Arizona Parks & Recreation Association.

This unique new state-of-the-art active-aging wellness center was designed and constructed to meet the specific needs of Shalom Cares residents and seniors living within the community. The $6.1-million center includes a warm-water therapy and exercise pool; private changing rooms; physical, speech and occupational rehabilitation therapy areas; and a fitness center with programs and equipment specially designed and calibrated for seniors.
