Music on the Marsh

Bring your friends and family to Horicon Marsh International Education Center to listen to four amazing musical groups at Music on the Marsh. This special event will be held Sunday, July 21 from 2pm to 6pm on the patio on the back side of the Education Center on located on Horicon Marsh State Wildlife Area. The public is invited to attend an afternoon of music and enjoyment at Horicon Marsh. Says Friends Executive Director Leslie Hershberger, “The event is due to the work Kim Albrecht of Wild Violets. She truly loves Horicon Marsh and the wildlife education programming at the center. She wanted to do something to promote the center and raise awareness.”

The musicians that will be performing include: Wild Violets-A break-out duo husband and wife team due that infuses music with a dose of blue sky and refreshing honesty. The Porch Poets-Good friends, good fun and good music! They play an eclectic mix of songs inspired from main stream artists, but also those not so well known or forgotten. A little Rock’n Roll, a little country and some of their own music to. The Steel Strings-Duo Allison Aprahamian and Taylor Kass are a new upcoming country band from Hartland’s Lake Country. also on youtube. Genesee

Ridge Bluegrass Band-From Lake Country of Waukesha County, this band will entertain with a wide mix of traditional and contemporary bluegrass songs. They perform on acoustic instruments with hard driving instrumentals and tight, four part harmonies. Toe tapping, sing-a-long music that will make you smile.

This family friendly event is sure to please. Great music and a great view. There is plenty of free parking too.

Bring your lawn chair, picnic basket with your favorite foods and beverages and enjoy an afternoon of Music on the Marsh. Admission is free but donations are appreciated and will go to support wildlife education programming at Horicon Marsh International Education Center
