Movies In The Park: Round Rock, Texas

The story of Winter the Dolphin captivates and inspires as one brave dolphin faces life without a tail.

On Friday, August 10, the City of Round Rock, Texas, brings Winter’s story to the big screen–a blow-up screen, that is.

The Movies in the Park series continues with DolphinTale, the retelling of Winter’s amazing story with her prosthetic tail, in Old Settlers Park (3300 E Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, TX, 78665).

Hanger, Inc., the Austin-based company responsible for the production of the first-ever prosthetic tail for a dolphin, as well as the liner called WintersGel, will be on site with an interactive experience, including Winter’s first prosthetic, a video of Winter with her trainer, and several giveaways for all ages.

Pre-movie activities start at 7:30 p.m. and the movie will play when the sun goes down.

Bring your chairs or blankets and a family picnic to make this a night to remember! Kona Ice will also be on site with their signature treats.
