This week, urban gardeners will gather in Toronto, Ontario, for the 2012 Urban Agriculture Summit.
The summit, which runs Aug. 15-18, will bring together design professionals, community groups, social housing advocates, tenants, homeowners, developers, educators, planners and urban growers.
Agriculture in the city is a growing trend, from bee-keeping to school and community gardens to aquaculture and rooftop farming.
The summit is presented by Green Roofs for Healthy Cities and FoodShare.
Major Summit themes include:

• Planning and design of innovative infrastructure for small & large-scale urban agriculture
