National Mall Design Competition

The Trust for the National Mall has announced a three-stage competition for designs to rebuild and refurbish the National Mall. The 700-acre park — the most visited national park in the United States — is suffering from overuse. New designs are being sought for three sections of the mall: Union Square, the Washington Monument Grounds at Sylvan Theater, and Constitution Gardens.
