The role of technology in business will be the topic of a free webinar Aug. 30.
The webinar is the second in a four-part business series presented by the Los Angeles-based National Association of Professional Women in Landscape. It will be taught by women leaders and subject matter experts in the green industry.
Software advancements in estimating and GIS will be demonstrated by Laura Weatherbee and Alle Rorie of GIS Dynamics.
“Landscape contractors are always searching for ways to become more efficient. Leveraging technology can streamline the estimating process, reduce labor costs and significantly increase the bottom line for business owners,” Weatherbee said.
The webinar will also include an interactive question and answer session.
Angelia Woodside Beckstrom, founder of NAPWL said: “We’re pleased to provide this free educational forum on technology to women in the green industry, especially in these times of economic uncertainty. This webinar series is aligned with our goals of assisting in the professional development and advancement of women in our industry.”
The NAPWL provides ongoing support programs that help women continue to be significant contributors and leaders in the green industry.
The remaining two webinars for the 2011 NAPWL series will address building a world-class supply chain, in September, and promoting customer satisfaction, in October.
