The Western Nursery & Landscape Association is holding a “think tank” discussion on green industry at the 2012 National Green Centre Summit this January.
The think tank will center on the role of associations and boards of directors in creating the next generation of green industry.
Board members and association executives from horticulture and related industries are invited to participate in the discussion at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 9, 2012, in Kansas City, Mo.
The 2012 National Green Centre Summit will be the first in a five-year series of conversations, discussions and summits.
The Western Nursery & Landscape Association is working with the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership to develop this year’s summit.
Dr. David Renz, director of the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership, will lead the summit. His work focuses on helping organizations and communities design and successfully implement major change and development initiatives.
In addition, his son is a landscape designer, so Dr. Renz brings a wealth of information concerning non-profit organizations combined with an understanding of the industry.
Join other executives and board members from local, state, regional and national horticulture-related associations to discuss some of the challenges you face on a day-to-day basis.
Register to attend the National Green Centre at http://www.nationalgreencentre.org/attending_register_gen.vp.html. Then email Sarah at firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP for the summit.
