Floura Teeter Adds To Team

[Baltimore, MD]–Last week, Baltimore-based landscape architecture firm Floura Teeter Landscape Architects (FTLA) added a new employee to its team and celebrated a new certification for an existing staff member. FTLA hired certified professional services marketer Sara Goins to serve as the firm’s marketing coordinator while firm associate and registered landscape architect Jeffery Stump received his LEED Green Associate certification.

New Hire

In her new role, Goins will work directly with the FTLA management team to support business development and marketing efforts. Prior to joining FTLA, Goins most recently worked for McDonough Bolyard Peck, Inc., a multi-disciplined construction consulting firm, where she provided marketing and proposal support to the firm’s three northeast region branch offices. Goins holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Loyola University Maryland and recently became a certified professional services marketer through the Society for Marketing Professional Services. Currently, Goins resides in Baltimore, Maryland and serves on the board of directors for the Maryland Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services. She is also a notary public for the State of Maryland.

New Certification

Stump passed his LEED Green Associate exam, receiving his certification through the US Green Building Council. According to the USGBC website, credential holders “have a deep understanding of the most current green building principles and practices, and show a clear commitment to professional growth in the field.” Stump has more than seven years of experience in landscape design. His recent work includes support on the landmark Maryland Intercounty Connector highway project, the Baltimore Red Line and Preston Gardens Pedestrian Plaza. Stump is a graduate of West Virginia University.

FTLA president and founder Joan Floura says, “Our commitment to hiring highly qualified, knowledgeable employees and supporting professional development for all of our staff allows us to stay on top of industry trends and opportunities and positions us for continued future growth.” FTLA was recently ranked the fifth largest landscape architect in the Baltimore area by the Baltimore Business Journal.
